Q: Can you please provide your definition of a "local vendor?"
A: The term local is a geographic consideration that takes into account the location of the vendor with respect to the District. A vendor is local if their business offices are within 100 miles of the District Office. A vendor that's closest business office is in another state is not considered local. Moreover a vendor that is 200 miles from the District Office is more local than a vendor that does not have a business office within the state.

Q: Can you please provide a current LAN and WAN topology?

Q: Does the customer require any wall mount phones? If so, how many?

Q: Will the customer be responsible for properly configuring the network for the voice service, or would you like vendors to provide an option?
A: That is undecided and shall be determined based on the options provided. Note the parameters of the RFP and bid accordingly.

Q: How many lines are required for Secretary/Operator phones? How many Secretary/Operator phones are required?

Q: How many QoS queues are currently configured?
A: QoS is configured as needed based on priority of the service.

Q: Does the network infrastructure support Quality of Service?
A: Yes.

Q: Does the switching gear support auxiliary VLAN’s for Voice?
A: Ther network supports industry standard VLANs.

Q: Does the switching and routing support VLANS? Are VLANS currently configured?

Q: Do the switch ports require special patch cords for proper operation?
A: The network cabling is industry standard.

Q: What speeds are supported on the switch ports that are to be used?
A: Up to 1GB.

Q: Can a site map be provided for any site included with this proposal?

Q: In regards to the site walk, would it be possible to offer an open site walk to all vendors?
A: We appreciate the suggestion but the timeline has already been established. Please use the information in the RFP and respond accordingly.

Q: Please provide the address to each of the three sites if not connected to the main campus. How many admin sets are required? How many sites need intercom interface?

The RFP asks that the system support the functionality of at least 2 auto attendants and up to 5. At least 3 connections shall be required for connection to the Intercom. Please provide options.
